Forte dei Marmi, Italy

Breakfast at the hotel. The day planned for beach activities and relaxation.

Forte dei Marmi with its high-class local shops is able to attract an elite tourism and is one of the most exclusive and fashionable tourist destinations in all of Italy.

Forte dei Marmi is known for its unique local shops, and its surrounding being nestled among the pine trees and tree-lined avenues, fashionable, but at the same time relaxing.

Each tourist who has visited this location will surly remain nostalgic of walking on a pier that juts out into the sea for about 300 meters, as well as of the well-kept beach that offers convenience and comfort.

The relaxation is a buzzword, but one cannot miss mundane events such as having fun and hanging out until dawn.

The symbol of Forte dei Marmi can be found in the city’s center.  It is a fortress which was built in 1788 by the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Leopold I of Lorraine to secure a place in the process of cleaning up. Although still swampy, the palace promoted the urban settlement . Today, this building is located in a modern urban context, and it consists of a grid of tree-lined streets that give the city neat and restful image.

Continuing towards the sea, one can admire the loading wharf that was used for shipping large blocks of marble departing all over the world.  Now it is used only as a tourist destination, where you can stroll and admire the coastline from three hundred meters away.

During the stay in Forte dei Marmi, there is a possibility of organizing a tour to Portofino. Portofino is a fantastic location, located in Riviera Ligure, Italy, considered by many one of the world’s eighth wonders. It is a small town of no more than 500 people, placed upon its bay. It’s shaped in a natural bowl which has become the world’s famous Piazzetta. Portofino became famous in the 60s, when rich and famous characters of “Dolce Vita’s” actors, actresses, pop stars, and rich aristocrats frequently started visiting it for its twilights, exclusive parties, and breathtaking views.
